The numerical solution technique developed by Lee and Oh [I] for the treatment of diffusional reactions with a moving boundary is applied to vapor-liquid diffusion problems including convective effects in the vapor phase. The numerical results obtained for the evaporation of methanol into air at ambient pressure compare well with the experimental data reported by Slattery and Mhetar . The method is also applied to multicomponent diffusion at high pressure where the dissolution of the gas in the liquid phase may have a significant effect on the interface displacement.
