The aim of this paper is to explore the heterotopic nature of the concept of memory in dystopian fictions The Memory Police by Yoko Ogawa and The Giver by Lois Lowry comparatively and thereby to discuss that memory is possible to be applied as a means of oppression primarily through the destruction of this heterotopic space and individuality. Elviye-i Selâse (“Triple Cities”) is the region consisting of Batumi, Ardahan and Kars sanjaks during the Ottoman Period. The fact that the region was taken from the Ottoman Empire after the Russo-Turkish War (1877–1878) was a major disadvantage for the Turkish people living in this region. Bloody, bold and resolute: Dimensions of power in Hamlet, King Lear and Macbeth

This thesis argues that there is a symbiotic relationship between the actions of characters making use of different aspects of power, and the plot progression in three tragedies by William Shakespeare; Hamlet, King Lear, and Macbeth, whose plots were built upon a problem of succession. For this purpose, the Aristotelian definition of tragedy was used in conjunction with the notion of power as defined by Steven Lukes throughout the study. Emotional clarity, adult attachment and emotional eating

This study aims to investigate the relationship between emotional clarity, adult attachment and emotional eating. The research was carried out during the Coronavirus epidemic, in two periods (self- quarantine and new normal periods) with and without governmental restrictions. The research was carried out with a total of 194 participants; 69 in the self- quarantine period and 125 in the new normal period; between the ages of 20-45.
