Bu çalışmada Osmanlı Devleti’nin 19. yüzyılı içerisinde siyasi, kültürel ve düşünsel alanda yapılan değişikliklerinde Yeni Osmanlıların medeniyet tasavvurları ele alınmıştır. Medeniyet kavramının muhtevasının Avrupa’dan Osmanlı yazın dünyasına dahli, sözlükler ve birincil kaynaklar aracılığıyla okura sunulmuştur.
