Elviye-i Selâse (“Triple Cities”) is the region consisting of Batumi, Ardahan and Kars sanjaks during the Ottoman Period. This study focuses on the politics of enmity in relation to the concepts of carnival and politics of friendship in Shakespeare’s late Roman play, Coriolanus.
